We found this CB2 concrete table and bench a while back and just love the industrial feel it adds to the space. However, with all the gray + earth tones going on in this room it was pretty darn obvious that we needed to add some color. The minute I saw these Bontempi Casa chairs I knew they needed to join our furniture family.
A Brief Story About Our Wall Paint Color:
– Marion picks paint color.
– Painters paint chosen paint color over 2 days.
– Marion comes home on Day 2 and quickly determines that she picked a poopy paint color.
This will not do.
Marion tells two very tired (and sad looking!) painters that they’ll need to come back tomorrow to repaint everything.
And for the record, Marion’s wallet was sad too. 🙁
Okay, so in all honesty, making that big of a mistake sucked. But our final paint color is perfect and I don’t regret repainting. The gray + browns were rather tricky to work with…but this final color perfectly straddles that fence (I think!) I’ll share more details + photos of the various paint colors we chose in future posts.
A Few Additional Details:
I know that in my previous kitchen/dining room post I shared different pendant lights, however they ended up being too large for the space. These narrow glass and steel pendants are just perfect (and we ended up saving over $250 with the switch!)
So I hope you like these occasional peeks into our home design projects! It feels nice to share details on what we have been working so hard to pull together these last few weeks. It’s like you are my “virtual house guests” 🙂
